Bob Doyle Defends The Secret

In the last couple of days "The Secret" star Bob Doyle has produced a short video answering recent criticism about the move The Secret and some of its supposed claims.

In other news it sounds like Paris Hilton has found religion, or at least The Secret. She has been seen reading the popular book by author Rhonda Byrne.

Phew....I sound like people magazine now.

THE BRICK

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!

He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting,
"What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"

The young boy was apologetic.
"Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop...." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother, "he said "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen Handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.
"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message:
"Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow,sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in....

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I'm Alive

I know, I know, I know - I haven't posted since February 8th. I was being kept really busy from first light to last dark with my regular employer along with my evening and weekend real estate activity. To be honest I didn't think anyone would notice but thank you all that did.

I am alive, in fact thriving not surviving but just so busy I have not had a moment to update my blog. It's a poor excuse I know but it's a really good busy. The kind that dreams are made of.

My thanks to all those friends of mine who emailed me concerned that I had disappeared and a big thank you too to Debra who left me a comment asking where I was. Your concern is very touching.

I will be back with some regularity shortly and have so many things to share with you all. For now though I must rush back to my busy and wish you love and abundance in your lives.

You deserve it because you chose it.

I woke up this morning in a funk. I don't know why. I chose to have a great day like I have been this last couple of weeks but I had a knot in my stomach. I didn't know what I was going to do today. I didn't know what to write about here. I was kind of lost.

The Power Of Affirmations

Affirmations are statements of what you want in your life. Affirmations reflect the spiritual law of perfection everywhere now. They are based on Spiritual Truth not your current experience of life.

Some people have trouble with affirmations because they feel they are not speaking the truth when they use an affirmation. For instance, if you are sick and you say, “I am whole, healthy, and energized,” it might feel like a lie; however, affirmations are not the facts of your current situation. They represent the experiences you want to have in your life.

Affirmations are not a method of communication; they are a tool of creation. If you want to tell your neighbor about the facts in your life, do not use an affirmation. But, if you want to create a new reality, use affirmations.

Remember, even your idle words have power. Telling your neighbor the facts of your current problem adds energy to those problems. If your neighbor can not help you, use the power of your words to create what you want and not what you do not want.

I once heard a story about a farmer who dreamed of having a large herd of cattle. He only had enough money to purchase one cow. This man knew the power of words; so, he named his one cow Herd. The neighbors thought he was crazy to be talking about his herd when they could see only one cow in the field; nevertheless, this farmer talked about his herd every chance he got. As the story goes, his words soon returned to him fulfilled, and he obtained a large herd of cattle.

Your words have more power in your life than the opinions of your neighbors. Use your words wisely. Develop affirmations that represent the life you would like to live. Use those affirmations on a consistent basis. Watch your life transform to reflect the power of your words.

An affirmation is a positive statement expressed in the present tense. It should not contain references to what you do not want only what you do want. For instance, suppose you have cancer and want to be well. Your affirmation might be, “ I am healthy and energetic. All of my cells are healthy and functioning perfectly.”

Notice the statement is in the present tense. It does not say I will be healthy. It says I am healthy. Also notice the statement does not mention cancer. It only refers to the positive condition you are trying to create.

Learn to use the power of affirmations and your life will reflect the new image your words express.

The Power of the Right Words

Much has been written on this subject but I learned yesterday just how important words can be. Not just the written words but the words we use in our thoughts and our speech daily.

Yesterdays lesson for me came in the form of 3 words.

Need
Desire

Did you know that these are in fact BAD words? Both Want and Need have their origins in Lack, which is not something I want to attract.

As for what I thought was a reasonable replacement, Desire - it appears that although it may not be a bad word, it is in fact a weak word. The right word to use is Require. It is a much more powerful word. If you don't know why, think about this: Do you desire air to breathe or do you require it?

The Attitude of Gratitude

Did you know that one of the best ways to manifest your true desires is to adopt an attitude of gratitude? To be thankful for all the good things you have in life?

By saying thank you for the good things you have you are saying to the universe that you are ready for more things to be grateful for.

I'll tell you what I'm grateful for today.

I told you about our new friends Jaie and Lolita just a couple of days ago and about their blog Lifeseeds. Well, it appears that just telling you about their blog was an act in itself worthy of thanks and boy do those girls know how to give thanks. Both my wife and I were so incredibly touched by their words, the kindness of their words, the sincerity of their words and their blessing of us both that we were moved to tears.

Oprah and The Secret - UPDATE!

Apparently the airing of the Oprah show featuring The Secret movie and several of The Secret teachers, is being delayed.

James Ray - one of the guests - has this update posted on his website:

Oprah has invited Rhonda Byrne, the producer of The Secret, to be on the show, along with four of The Secret's teachers: Dr. Michael Beckwith, Jack Canfield, Lisa Nichols and yours truly.

UPDATE: Oprah decided it would be best to tape and edit the show instead of broadcasting live. She wants to make sure the show provides the most impact that it can. I won't know the air date until a few days after the taping (January 31st), but I'll be sure to keep you updated as soon as I know.

What do you Dream?

I was reading some emails from Linda's Million Dollar Manifesting Circle just yesterday and something that was said struck me as so incredibly pertinent as to not be ignored.

Again like most of my posts you'll notice that I've heard these things before but only recently starting paying attention to them and their meanings, importance or significance. This is another example of that.

You'll also know that I'm very keen on the phrase "do what you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life again" - that phrase is based on the premise that if you can truly do what you love to do and find a way to get paid to do it that it will never feel like work again. Now you'll find that you have a created a lifestyle and an income that pays you to do exactly what you want to do.

But back to where I started. I even asked my wife this question last night and the answer is not easy. Here's the question:

Visualization Visualisation - 2 spellings, one outcome

You've heard about visualization right? Your sports coach told you about it when he said picture yourself running further, faster or jumping higher, quicker or throwing further. It is the art of creating images of desire within your minds eye and then making your body achieve the object of those desires.

To be honest I've known about it since I was a young boy just starting out for my boy scouts athletic badge. My Dad told me the secret of visualization but I just never fully applied it. The same is true for ever other time I've heard about it. Passing my driving test, selling successfully, even dating, amongst others. But now is different.

Now not only do I know about it and can use it. I can give you an example of how to practice it yourself. Do the following.

1 - Stand upright, with your feet a comfortable distance apart and look forward.
2 - Now raise 1 arm so that it is parallel to the floor and pointing out in front of you.
3 - With your arm outstretched and your feet anchored to the floor, turn your body (if using your right arm, turn around right, left arm, left turn) slowly and focus on the farthest point you can see where you hand is pointing. Only look at where your hand is but really try to go far.
4 - Then return to face front, arms down.
5 - Close your eyes, breathe in and out calmly and in your mind see yourself reaching further. Imagine a point some way beyond where you previously and physically were able to reach. Think about that for 10-15 seconds, that's all. A tiny fraction of time.
6 - Finally repeat the first 3 steps.

You will find yourself achieving something quite amazing. Really amazing.

The reason this works is because our brains can barely distinguish between real and imagined events. Scientists have performed thousands of tests on subjects who were measured while performing a task and then measured while imagining the same task and the areas of the brain that are used are the same. Identical.

So you see whether you believe in the law of attraction or something of a more earthbound nature the facts are undeniable. You can think yourself to anything you want, with visualization.

Try out the experiment above, you'll see for yourself. Now imagine what you can achieve for your own goals of health, wealth and happiness just with visualisation.

Energy, Abundance and Faith

Last week was a fantastic week. Not just good or super good, but truly fantastic. As a result I feel like I am walking on clouds, am so supercharged I can achieve anything and I look forward to every new day with the excitement of a child on Christmas Eve. Really a fantastic week.

Sunday was really a rest day but I saw my football (soccer) Arsenal team win against our perennial rivals Manchester United in the morning, watched the Chicago Bears win a play off game against the Saints. This is important because at the beginning of the season we and a group of friends all picked a Superbowl team, my wife picked Da Bears. Then, that evening we had dinner with our good friends and real estate partners J & A. It was this couple that really turned us onto the law of attraction, so that was a super night spent mixing with likeminds and sharing conversation, the kind that just powers you up to a new vibrational level.

Monday and Tuesday saw us progress, nay, leap further forward with a couple of real estate investment transactions we are working on and then Wednesday was Cashflow Club night. Our little club has grown to a mailing list of over 70 and regularly sees more and more people coming out each week and better still, returning for following weeks games. Not only did I meet Jaie and Lolita who run Lifeseeds that I featured yesterday but also got talking to a writer about getting together to write a book, not just a "what to do" guide but a true "how to do" type book. It's ideas and concepts for now but I believe that it has merit enough to be written and you may have noticed that my writing style is less than elegant so I'm grateful to have manifested a real writer in my midst.

Thursday was about as motivational as it gets. Here in Atlanta we were lucky enough to have the Get Motivated seminar in town, and thanks to some other friends we were gifted some tickets. So my wife and I went and the day just flew by. We saw, listened to, heard and were inspired by the following: Michael Eisner, Zig Ziglar, Rudy Giuliani, John Shmoltz, Peter Lowe, Tom Hopkins, Larry King and Colin Powell. It was just an amazing day. My thanks to Pat and Jackie for their kind gift. I know I owe you.

Friday just saw it all come together. A great day of work and more substantial progress with a number of other projects we have going on. Most importantly of all - My wife and I were able to do all of these things together. Everything, with barely a moment apart, and that feeling of her company is a feeling I love. It's very important that even though we keep our eye on our financial goals we do not lose sight of our other goals, Health and Happiness.

This is exactly the kind of week that should and can be repeated. I will remember the amazing high I feel right now and remind myself of it should my head drop and life start getting in the way :-)

I will remind myself that this level of energy is sustainable, that I should not give up. That there is abundance of everything in the universe. Everything. If I want it I can have it, and so can everyone. It is abundant. You can have what ever you desire. Remember that.

One last memory, is that everyone to a man on Thursday spoke about their faith. If not religion, then an unquestionable belief in an omnipotent power. I have that too and so it appears does everyone I have written about in this post today.

With them in my life and my thoughts I will always have all the energy I need and all the faith I need to benefit from the universes abundance of everything.

God Doesn't Say No - YOU Do

I have written about this topic in the past but here's one of the globally recognised experts and star of The Secret talking about how to use the Law of Attraction by just immersing yourself in your belief of it.

There are a couple of things you've probably heard said over and over. The first is, "Why doesn't God answer my prayers?". What you'll generally hear next is the response which goes something like, "God DOES answer your prayers. Sometimes he just says 'No'".

The fact is, it's not God who says "No". In fact, God - the infinite source of "All that Is", ONLY says "Yes"! God is the ultimate "creation" mechanism. God responds PRECISELY to YOUR creative catalyst.

So you say, "Well, I've been asking God for money, but he hasn't given it to me.". The answer lies in HOW you are asking! Remember that God - the Universe - responds in a very precise way! It's a matter of Quantum Physics! If your prayer goes something like, "Dear God. I'm in trouble. I have no money. I can't pay any of the bills. I need money!", then THAT is what will be real for you. You WILL be in trouble. You WILL have no money! You WON'T be able to pay the bills, and you WILL NEED MONEY.

The Universe feeds back to you what you give it - and in fact, amplifies it!

If who you are "being" is a person with what we'll call "lack consciousness", then LACK will be your reality!

Every thought you have about "not having" will be mirrored in your experience of reality. Do you desire wealth? Then BE wealthy first, and the Universe will respond.

The fact is, we are here for the express purpose of creating our realities and living incredible lives. We are the manifestation of God's experience in the physical. God does not desire for us to live in lack, and in fact strongly desires that we have everything we desire. It is WHY we have desires in the first place! We are not only meant to have our desires realized, but we have the ability to have them manifest in our lives WHENEVER we want!

However, our egos and limiting belief systems have distorted our power. We have made ourselves "small". We have created thoughts about wealth and prosperity that make them inaccessible to us. Yet they are RIGHT THERE...waiting for us to experience them.

God does not say, "No, you may not experience wealth." God says, "YES! EXPERIENCE EVERYTHING!". However the "mechanics" of reality creation require you to BELIEVE that you already have the things you desire. That's why it's so easy for so many people to experience "lack". It's easier for them to believe that they "can't have something" than it is for them to have everything they want because they have all this external "evidence". The fact is, however, that it is just as "easy" to have either one. It is simply a matter of your belief.

Your current experience is the PERFECT manifestation of your current belief system. It is the EFFECT, not the cause. YOU are the cause your experience. When you can integrate that, you can begin to create consciously from the inside out (which is the only way you CAN create). You can break out of the "loop" which has you believing that your external circumstances are causing your experience.

You must understand that whatever your experience is right now, it is God (the Universe, All that Is) saying "YES" to whoever it is you are being, thinking, speaking, and acting.

To create consciously you MUST "be", "think", "speak", and "act" that your desires are already fulfilled - and they shall be. To the extent that you do these things, you will experience the "yes" that you REALLY desire from God much more quickly.

Practice Receiving

My wife and I were at some friends for dinner last night and a great conversation kicked off about the law of attraction. In fact, with these friends that's not uncommon, we talk about it all the time, but this particular conversation was about receiving, in particular.

The law of attraction states that you just have to ask, with a focus on why you want what you are asking for and it will be yours. Well that is true, but you still have to be ready to receive what you asked for and I mean ready.

We know that the universe does not simply put $1,000,000 under your pillow just because you asked for it...(although that can happen if we truly believed it could but that's a topic for another post)...but rather the universe would align to facilitate opportunities for you to make or earn $1,000,000. You have to be able to identify and take advantage of those same opportunities. More importantly you have to practice receiving. Everything.

Those opportunities presented
Help received
Money given
Time off awarded
Praise
Compliments
and anything else that comes your way.

I recall in one of the books I have read about "Strengthening the Receiving Muscle", which caused some chuckles at dinner and I may not fully remember the context correctly or even the quote but I'm sure the sentiment is this:

To be great at anything you have to practice. Therefore to be good at receiving you have to practice. Stretch that receiving muscle, do your warm ups, practice, practice practice and then when you are called upon to receive you'll be in the best place mentally, pysically and emotionally to receive all that is coming your way.

And that's no bad thing, because, you see, you asked for it to come your way in the first place.

I'll sign off now but one of the greatest ways I can think to practice receiving is to remember to say thanks. To say thanks, out loud, sometimes to no one in particular for everything big or small I receive.

Time to act

If you stopped by for yesterdays post and it intrigued you to start looking at ways to make money from the internet, I know of 3 ways.

1 - Create an Adwords or Overture account and create ads to drive people to your affiliate marketing links. You don't even need a website for this method, just an email account.

2 - Create a website or websites. There's tons of information on "how to" and "what to focus on" on the web. Then host adverts, run affiliate programs, sell products or do all three. As I pointed out yesterday, one of my favorite subjects is the law of attraction and if you too share this passion and would like to make money promoting ways to educate, then Bob Doyle has the program for you.

or 3 - Start writing your own blog and do the same as in 2 above.

My friend Mike over at Twenty Steps has some great information for you if you decide to act to increase your passive income with internet related activities.

If passive income happens to be your dream then you might want to check out Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad affiliate program too. As you know I am an Englishman, living in the States. I write this blog, not always regularly and not always with a great writing style but to share some of my experiences and educations with the law of attraction. It's not a funny blog although personally I have a great sense of humor and find many things amusing.

You may not know where Norfolk is, you may even not be familiar with rural village life in England, but you will certainly notice excellent writing when you see it.

Why, not How

I have talked about the movie "What the bleep" before. It's the movie that tries to explain some of the science of the "law of attraction". This clip here does the best job of explaining to people about the basics of quantum physics, the science behind the law.

Listen carefully to some of the words. Thoughts, Waves of potential, Interfering with itself.

This subject is far larger than just this clip can demonstrate but what it does tell us is that your thoughts are waves of potential. You are capable of anything, absolutely anything, but somehow, when you try to understand how things happen and become an observer in your own mind you change your outcome.

Think about that for a moment.

The secret to the law of attraction says:
ASK - put it out there, think about it, focus on it - create a wave of potential. Your job here is to create a solid focused thought, based on the "WHY" you want it.
ANSWER - the universe does it's piece to bring you what you asked for. For this piece you should sit back, this happens without you.
RECEIVE - get ready to receive what you asked for. Believe you are worthy of it, know that it is coming to you. Now the reality here is that it may not physically manifest in front of you. It may be that circumstance introduced you to a situation or an unexpected bonus, a dividend or some other occurence where you are in posession of either the path to your chosen thing or the money to purchase it, if it were material. Either way, it will be made available to you.

All because you focused on the "Why" you want it.

Now back to the video clip. The video shows quantum physics changing it's results when an observer is present. You are your own observer. Your thoughts of "How?" are creating the interference that gives you the results you expect and not the results you desire.

Therefore the biggest change you will have to make in your life is to trust the universe. If you truly believe and just focus on what it is you want, and why you want it you will get it. That's the power of those waves of potential being realised.

If however you don't trust enough and question, wondering "how" the universe does it, always looking to observe within your own thoughts then you will get what you expect and not what you asked for.

Pretty simple really, but hard to do. I'm no expert myself, but each day I trust that little bit more (it's hard to shake decades of programming) and I am getting more an more of what I ask for rather than what I expect. My life is getting better each and every day because of it.

Irrespective of money, my wife and I feel richer for knowing about this powerful law of attraction.

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving weekend. Since this is my first time online since before the holiday I just wanted to give thanks for everything I have and everything that is coming my way.

What you focus on expands

A short post today: The law of attraction says "what you focus on expands" so think the positive version of a thought rather than the negative one. The whole reason is to avoid putting your focus on what you don't want t happen.

Here's a couple of examples I'm working on to give you an idea.

I would like to quit smoking but rather than focus on quitting smoking I will focus on being healthy and having good clean lungs and lots of energy. That's because the universe would focus it's efforts on smoking and I don't want that - I want health and energy, so that's what I'll focus on.

Another example: I'd like to have no bad debt in my life. (bad debt is bills and credit cards that have been run up for anything other than the purchase of income producing assets.) So rather than focus on debt, or getting out of debt, or being debt free - all of which would focus the universe on debt, I will focus my energy and thoughts on increased passive income and greater cashflow.

Waaaaaaay back in Synch

It's actually been a while since I updated my blog and I realise now that the most recent one you would have been seeing looks like bad news. This is a good news blog, in fact a GREAT news blog.

This update is to let you know that my wife and I are back in synch and in a big way. We realise that we've come a long way in our new thinking. We believe in financial freedom, we believe that you don't have to have a job to get rich, we believe that our time together is more precious than any time we give our employers in short we beleive in the secret and the law of attraction. We truly believe that our NEW way of thinking is at least 180 dgrees different from the OLD way, in fact that's how we refer to it when we hear anyone talking about getting a good education, getting a great job and working hard and saving money. That really is OLD way thinking.

Let me fill you in on a number of the things that have happened since I last wrote. In fact it's as a result of everything we've been doing that we've been inundated with work. That is what has prevented me from updating, and by the way, when I say work, I don't mean for someone else, I mean for us. So here goes.

We have started an LLC that will help us with reducing our taxes and the company is for any of the money earned on internet marketing, real estate or business coaching and consulting we do. What we needed more than anything was a team of experts who could become our brain trust or as Napoleon Hill puts it our "Mastermind Group". Well we found them.

As a result of the business and real estate activity we met a great business attorney who referred us to a phenomenal real estate attorney we now use, who in turn has referred us to several great real estate CPA's, a forensic accountant and an SEC attorney. As a result of now having this great team in place we have much more confidence in a number of the real estate deals we are putting together. So much so that on December 15th this year my wife will be financially free and we are pulling her out of work. She has already handed her notice in and is looking forward to her last few weeks of working for someone else. By that date we will own our first multifamily apartment building and maybe 3 more - we have offers in on 3 right now.

The law of attraction has truly worked for her, even as a semi-skeptic and even though we were out of synch. Proof positive that whether you believe in it or not, the law of attraction simply works, simply. That's why I say we are back in synch. She's excited by all the opportunities that she see's coming our way and knows that she'll be able to get me out of work, financially free inside the next 6 months, just by working for us from home and using this powerful law to our benefit. Now that's synchronized thinking. I'd love to be that free, that soon.

Dear Universe, I know you're listening. How about working on that one for us? I have a whole bunch of ideas that would both help people and enable them to be financially free if you could just make this request come true and free up my time to help my wife build our new businesses.
More on those plans later. Until then, I am grateful for all that I have today and thank you for all that you have given us so far. We are truly blessed.

Out of Synch

Last night my wife and I had a fight. It got ugly at several points and then it calmed down, but even today it is not brilliant.

I think it is because we are out of synch. I realize and understand that when I'm officially old enough to retire that there will not be any social security money left. That to me means that I'll either be working all my life just to exist or I can put in a whole bunch of smart work now to avoid that.

I think my wife "gets it" but then when it comes to the crunch she just wants her life the way it is. No discomfort, not even for a short time, no long range planning except for having children and no desire or as she says drive to become a business owner, salesperson or entrepreneur.

To be honest - I don't have a drive to become those things either. I do however have a drive that suggests some minor inconvenience would be acceptable, certain risks are acceptable and having a certain (but open) mind set is acceptable for just one purpose: Providing for my wife and family now and into the future. I'd really like to be able to spend every minute with my children as they grow - their first steps, first words and so on. I'd like to be with them on birthdays, holidays, schools shows and recitals. Most importantly I'd like to be with them because I just can and not because I was able to sneak out of work early or took some vacation time.

To me, my dream of being wealthy is not about the money itself, but what it can do for us. It can buy us time from jobs we do not enjoy, it can buy us the time to be with family and friends and it can buy us the tickets to go and visit those family and friends. Any where at any time. Not a bad request when you realize that my wifes family are spread across 4 states and mine spread across the UK and New Zealand.

I think she "gets it". I know she says she does. It's just that we are out of synch on "how" all the above dreams are going to become reality.

The ironic thing about this is that providing we are clear with the universe on "why" we want something then the rules of the law of attraction state that the "how" will take care of itself.

Maybe yesterday was just a day to be out of synch.

Busting Loose

Just the other day, my friend gave me a book to read, called Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can't Win and it is "out there", I mean, really "out there". I can say that safely because it absolutely makes sense to me now, because of the journey of mental, physical, spiritual and metaphysical learning and understanding I have been on as I get closer each day to realizing my dream.

If I had read this book back then it would have blown my mind, but not now. I am finally getting it! It's all just a game - everything we do, everything we are, feel and see, is one game - created by us to have fun and challenge ourselves. I kinda like that.

If any of the following statements make sense to you or have ever popped into your head as thoughts then please read the book. Your journey is about to change speed again.

1 - I am the Universe
2 - God is the universe
3 - Therefore I am God, or put another way, God is me
4 - I believe in a higher power of infinite intelligence and believe that we are all interconnected
5 - Quantum Physics makes sense to me
6 - We are all one.

For the lay person reading this, No - I am not a barking loon, who needs to be locked up - this is the next evolution of my understanding of life and the universe and my role or position within and it's ability to help me achieve my financial, personal and health goals.

I survived Friday the 13th

A strange set of coincedences were abound on Friday 13th. I had just read and chuckled at Yaxlich's Friday 13th post and was talking to a friend in England about it. At that very moment I was heading off to Lake Hartwell in Georgia. My wife and I were meeting up with 3 other couple friends and planning on letting the dogs play.

That's 8 people in total, a lake and Friday 13th. My friend expected that I would not make it back from the trip but here I am, alive and well. Maybe it's because I'm the cute one who also happens to be the virgin?

It was a little scary though - the house next door to the one we stayed in had been burned to the ground and there were eerie noises coming from pipes and metal that got caught in the breeze. There were no street lamps and the only flashlight we had was the one in the house that died just 2 minutes after turning it on. Leaving me and my friend to trip over brush and half-path until we found the lighting for the walk down to the lake front.

To be honest - I'm a 37 year old, 6'5" man who doesn't get scared by much but I'll admit to breathing a little short and generally puckering my butt as I made it out to the homeowners boat dock which was lit up like a Christamd tree it was so bright. That was quite a scary 200 yards I can tell you.

Still, we proceeded to make an amazing (even if I say so myself) fire in a fire pit on the beachfront and sat there eating s'mores and drinking. As for the other coincedences? 13 drinks, 13 stumbles in the woods, 13 ghost stories told. ( I really wasn't counting......) And the final one: Is there any coincedence in the fact that I couln't play pool when I was 13 years old and the fact that I cannot play after 13 vodka and red bulls now?

I got my energy back

Wowee - I feel all supercharged again today, my mind is clearer, I feel like I have focus and clarity with everything that is going on. To be honest, I have a lot going on.

Yesterday was a real down day, it didn't seem to matter what I did I was just in a funk. I had to pull out of 2 real estate offers I'd made because the sellers couldn't bring themselves to sell at my price and I had one of my investor partners drop out of a deal too.

The reality is, these things happen all the time, and as I now know - for a really good reason, but somehow yesterday I just hit an energy low. Right up until I went to my cashflow club. It's our little club where we meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month to play the Cashflow game created by Rich Dad Poor Dad creator Robert Kiyosaki.

I love to play it and it doesn't get boring, I even tell people that the books will encourage you to change your life while the game will ACTUALLY change your life, and I mean it. That's not the whole reason for my energy boost though. It's the people. We have all sorts attend, varying educations, employments, histories, ages and it's a mix. It's a great mix. While we are playing, before and after we will sit and discuss new books we are reading and experiences we are having as well as sharing our dreams, goals and plans with likeminded people.

I need reminding once in a while that not everyone thinks like everyone else and I know that for sure because a lot of people consider the law of attraction a wacky idea and others think that Rich Dad is just a bunch of hot air to sell books. I do believe in both of them a lot and it's just great once in a while to hang out with others who agree.

Today, I'm bouncing like a child and full of the joys of spring. I have made myself a new day today and everything is just perfect, it feels good and I'm ready for the world. Bring it on.

Watch The Secret

This is a great 7 minute clip of the movie The Secret I told you about. The story about the genie is how this blog got it's name. I recommend anybody to watch the whole thing. It really is worth your time.

Do you know friends who are glass half empty types? This might just convinbce them to change.

I haven't been on for a while because I am busy, busy busy, now I know that is no excuse but in the last week alone my goal is starting to take on a more realistic form. My wife and I and our friends/business partners are about a week away from closing a deal on a liquor store, an 8 unit apartment building and a 3/2 condo. All of which are great deals and all of which will both contribute to our bottom line and our monthly passive income.

What has been interesting is that way back I said we would make $36,000 in 49 days. Well it didn't happen by the calendar dates but I was reminded to be absolutely specific in my requests. The original goal was to hit that $36,000 in 49 days, but I didn't say which 49 days.

Now it looks like it is going to happen. I'll let you know.

My meme Book Report

It looks like that third party writing, world simplifier Yaxlich has tagged me with writing a book report. To be honest I thought I was done with homework once I'd reached adulthood but seeing as how every day I convince myself I am still just a kid I suppose I had better complete it and hand it in - albeit a little late.

1. One book that changed your life - the hardest question first.
The Celestine Prophecy - I wasn't sure at the time that it had changed my life but it was coincidence that brought it to my attention and the first 2 chapters sent shivers down my spine. I was supposed to find this book and read it. That was over 10 yesr ago and everything that I firmly believe in now, including the scientific creation of the earth, a higher power (my God) and the law of attraction is covered in some way. The parabolic method of story telling may be too much for some but in a way I feel totally connected to it - and now to everything and everyone else too.

2. One book that you've read more than once.
I am such a voracious reader that I always have a pile of books waiting to be read so I rarely get the chance to read a book more than once but I do recall as a kid borrowing my Mum's copy of The Ka of Gifford Hillary - I kind of read it once - just to show off that I could really read....and yes Mum, that quickly :-) but certain parts hooked me, so I really did read it a second time and loved it. I can't remember a whole bunch about it except the title and the premise that Gifford Hillary came too, as a Ka, which is a floating ghost type thing and saw his body, dead. I think he then goes on to solve his own murder - or something like that. I remember at the time it gave me great dreams about out of body experiences.

3. One book that you'd want on a desert island.
I never read the Lord of the Rings books or the Chronicles of Narnia. Either set would be a great escape from swimming, tanning and hunting for food.

4. One book that made you laugh.
As someone who finds humour in almost everything I can think of many books that have made me laugh but the most recent was The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time. A little perverse humour really as the book is written as if by a 12 year old autistic boy, but some of the writing and thought processes made me giggle.

5. One book that made you cry.
Hmm, isn't it the case that when you cry, your eyes fill up and you can't see to read? I cannot recall any at the moment - and will come back to this one once I've checked my bookshelf.

6. One book that you wish you had written.
I wish I had written Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I've mentioned it before in my blog but the book is easy to read and truly encourages a different way for us all to think about our finances. The educational and informative nature of it's writer and the subsequent organization is also generating substantial sums of money for all involved. I'd like that too :-)

7. One book you wish had never been written.
Schindlers Ark - this book is factual and based on a horrendous wrongdoing in our recent history. If the events had never happened, the book would not have needed to be written. To be honest, this answer is more about the events I wish had never taken place rather than the book, but hopefully you'll understand the sentiment.

8. One book that you are reading at the moment.
I am currently reading 2 books. Zero Gravity - a book on internet startups and venture capital and Getting Things Done a book about, well, getting things done actually.....I often have so many things going on at once it would be nice to add some order to my chaos.

9. One book that you've been meaning to read.
Never wrestle with a pig. Another business related book about adding the personal touch to business. I've had it now for a few months and keep putting it second behind new books I buy.

10. Five others that you'd like to do this.

God 'elp us!

Yesterday I didn't know what to write about. Today I thought I did but it has already changed a number of times.

I've alwasy been careful within my blog to not confuse the Law of Attraction with Religion. I didn't think it mattered all that much but over time I guess it does, well, at least to me.

Here in a controversial way are the end results of my thoughts. I hope to find time enough to go into greater detail about how I reached these conclusions at some point in the future.

1. God is good, religion is bad.
2. God = The Universe
3. God as I understand , (I was brought up a Church of England Christian) is the same God for Christians, Jews and Muslims.
4. Church of England Christian = Catholic - The Pope + The Queen of England
5. Christians, Jews and Muslims all agree that Jesus and Mohammed existed, they just differ in their role. i.e. Son of God versus Prophet
6. Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all beautiful religions and well meaning at their core.
7. Radicalism or extremism from any religion is bad.

My own views are that having been brought up in and around the Church, where we would get dressed up and go every Sunday and every truly high day for that matter, is that there is a God. My education was given to me at a Church of England School, where prayers at morning assembly were common. So arguably I have talked to God. Students at that school were taught about other religions; a term (semester) on Judaism, a term on Islam, even some Buddhism amongst others. So I'm aware of what others think of God.

What this leaves me with is simply that, an education and an awareness. My own belief now is that I am much more spiritually aligned than religious. I've made statements that whether you call 'It' "God" or "the energy ball called Dave", there is a higher power. Now with my recent experiences I'm much more aligned with calling God the Universe. The "Ask" part of the secret is simply Prayer, but that's almost another thread on it's own.

To further explain; I do believe in God or the energy ball called Dave, call it what you will but I also believe in the scientific creation of the world. I allow both evolution and divine creation to co-exist within my mind.

(except for the Old Testament part about Adam and Eve, however I believe that the Old Testament is parabolic and storified mix of dance and song and misinterpretation and dreams, but I digress).

For instance, Science says that the world was created by a big bang, I ask who put all the shit in one place that banged together? That's it, that's what lets me believe in a higher power - God, The Universe, Allah, Dave, the higher power, whatever you wish to call it. And whether you are religious or spiritual there will be one.

The problem with religion is in interpretation. Events, people, meanings, intentions all appear to have been misinterpreted for 1000's of years. God is good but interpretation and a desire to control have taken the words in the books, Bible, Torah, Koran out of context. Just look at Catholics - confession has never been about confessing your sins and receiving absolution from your creator. It was a method of crowd control and information gathering used by the Church back in the middle ages when the Church had ultimate power over everything and everyone and the masses could be controled by fear.

So why do Catholics still practice confession? I have no idea, but if it makes them feel good then they should probably continue it.

Going to Church, I am told, is about worship. To me worship is uplifting and invigorating, but to be honest I find the staid old ways of today's Church to be anything but. The dirges that are the hymns and the music are throwbacks to the middle ages again where organ music was about all the town had because all the money was controlled by the Church.

Anyway, it's not fun and the more I think about religion the more I question why it appears irrelevant today. An even bigger question for me is why is my belief in God (and/as the Universe) actually getting stronger while my desire for religion gets weaker?

My wife and I would like to raise our children with God in their life so we are going to seek out a Church that still allows us to carry out ouyr beliefs but in a much more 21st Century way. If you know of any please let us know.

But back to my point, or at least one of them, the writing of this has been very cathartic, but perhaps not so clear. Religion as we know it today is rooted in all that is good, very powerful good, but sadly is being executed upon so poorly. This is what is giving rise to extreme radicalism and the hatred in the world today.

Can't we all just agree that we all share the same God and that if we check in our corresponding books he actually wants us to get on, together, in peace and harmony? No? Shit! OK, how about this little gem, from my wife this morning;

"the extremists are teaching hate in their schools, but we are doing perhaps worse, we are teaching 'nothingness', we're not allowed to say Happy Christmas and God forbid if we mention God in schools...."

What this means to me, is that we world is changing. If we agree that the law of attraction works whether you believe it or not then the extremists may win, because they believe they will. They pray (ask), we know that the Universe/God/Allah/Dave will answer and then all they have to do is receive.

All I can ask for today, in a request and prayer is that no more lives will be lost in God's name, none given as suicide and none taken by murder. If you wish for the same thing, then ask or pray with me.

My heart goes out to all people, of all, God's, beliefs, colours, creeds and countries who have lost anyone in the name of Religion.

I know that I took some time off blogging last week while I was on holiday, but despite bringing myself completely up to date I still cannot get Technorati to show that I've updated my blog.

In fact it says that I haven't updated it for 23 days now.

Is there anyone out there with greater technical knowledge than myself who can explain how this is?

I've pinged every time I've updated, so maybe it's my blog that pongs.

Any advice? On either the ping or the pong?

Gifts, Games and Goodness

GiftTRAP: I love this game. It was created by a friend of mine and it's a lot of fun. Based on an idea by his beautiful daughter GiftTrap is a simple to learn, fun game about gift giving and receiving. Are you better and giving or getting? How well do you know your friends? Always different and always a laugh, it's perfect for those evenings with friends, after dinner or instead of the pub, maybe even at the pub :-)

The Dilemma Facing Science

I said earlier today that an article in Forbes led me to believe that some scientists call the law of attraction "String Theory" well nowI've dug a little deeper it turns out I was right. The link above is to an article that is both highly scientific in nature but also uses the words law of attraction. In fact it says about string theory that "It is the essence that underlies the Law of Attraction."

Wow, this knowledge and quest for it just goes deeper and deeper. I think now that perhaps I should have paid more attention in my sciences classes as a kid.

This stuff really blows my mind.

The News While I was Away

It's been quite a week, or so. Since I started my holiday (and forgot my blog) for a whole week so much has happened in the world. This is what has caught my eye, made me think or simply just happened....

1 - My friend Yaxlich has had a wonderful week; winning the bestest blog of the day award and reaching a blogging milestone. Congratulations to Yaxlich. Additional congrats on not actually pooping yourself in the last few weeks.
2 - Lizza has a post that is near and dear to my heart - I love les Miserables, well, along with Jesus Christ Superstar, in fact I believe that I am only beer, burgers and bad dress away from being gay :-) It might explain why I love Show Tunes so much?
3 - Jim has recovered from his recent hurt and started spreading flirty smiles throughout fastfood joints across the US.
4 - Steve Irwin, the loud, passionate Aussie "Crocodile Hunter" died in what can only be ruled a freak accident. Whatever your views of him, he made for some very interesting TV and was exceptionally educational. He will certainly be missed. If you wish to honour his memory then maybe you could contribute a penny or more to his conservation organization; www.wildlifewarriors.com
5 - Katie Couric made her CBS evening news debut. A big thing here in the US but not such a big thing in my home country England where I remember ladies presenting the evning news from when I was a child.

(Angela Rippon became Britain's first female newsreader on national TV and made her first television appearance for BBC Plymouth on 5 September 1966. She famously danced on the Morecambe and Wise Christmas Show in 1977.)

6 - Baby Suri Cruise, previously unseen and oft attributed with not existing, child of Tom Cruise and the pretty one from Dawson's Creek, Katie Holmes, made her debut this week. With a full photo spread in Vanity Fair magazine and covered by every news channel in the states. Can some again tell me why celebrities are such big news? I don't think I get it. My wife and her friends are absolutely addicted to all the gossip mags and this Pink blog.
7 - I have not failed to get parking spaces immediately where I want them, when I want them.
8 - I read something in Forbes magazine that in my mind ties the whole Law of Attraction to what some scientists call "string theory". I haven't had much time to research this further yet but here's my first results page. I'll let you know what I find out unless you can tell me more about it first.

The Universe

Today I return from vacation - I've enjoyed 10 wonderful days with no work, no thoughts of work and I loved it. Congratulations to my friends Mike and Carolyn who got married over the weekend. We love ya.

So while I've been back at my desk this morning clearing through emails and getting ready to get back to work I received this wonderful email that just puts things into persepctive in the universe. We're all aware of some level of universal scale but this is mainly pictoral and really helped me grasp it.

and poor little pluto is no longer a planet.. Sniffle.

Earth is INVISIBLE? Wow.

Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky.

It is 560 light years away.

So in summary, outside of just being really fascinating what does it mean?

Well to be honest, and to quote from the movie The Commitments...

"f***ed if oi know Terry". But my interpretation is that the universe is enormous, and powerful and we are less than mere specs in it, like dust particles, blowing around and collecting on the furniture. Never alone, always as a collection, always interconnected.

Good News Broadcast

Have you noticed how the news on TV is almost always bad? I've even got friends and colleagues who have stopped watching the news because they find it depressing, and to be honest the media seems to want to create that. Sensationalist news is what keeps the ratings high. Oh dear, but at what cost?

Where are the stories about the women who are now empowered throughout Afghanistan, or the children who are getting an education in Iraq for the first time in 30 years? Where are the stories of all the people who safely returned home after being missing? Where is the cub scout helping the little old lady to cross the road?

These are the positive stories. When you hear something positive it lifts your mood, you will become more positive. Well that what I think anyway. So today I came upon this site - with it's pleasantly positive news. It's a great way to start your day.

Have fun with it and remember each morning you can create your own day, just by thinking about it.

This is one of the chapters of the Book of Abraham by Esther Hicks. If you've seen the Secret you'll know who she is. If not, read this and you might just want to see it. It's available to buy as a video or to view online for $4.95. That's well worh it.

I make no money from recommending these to you I just hope that one day this message gets out to a very wide audience. Then I believe we can truly change the world, one vibrating thought at a time.

It all supports my theory that this secret knowledge is growing. Now I'm still a big fan of using it myself for my own health, wealth and happiness goals, but imagine the possibilities if collectively we could all use it for something far greater.

One example is the study in DC that showed that when 400 believers got together and meditated for a 25% drop in violent crime in the city over the summer (it's the US number 1 murder capital) they actually achieved a 25% drop in violent crime.

The police, who had been their biggest sceptics, become a co-sponsor of the research paper published at the end of the experiment.

Now that's a great endorsement for us all getting together and doing something similar in our own cities and towns.

Now try it yourself. here are the rules incase you were unsure.

1 - Ask the universe for something, anything. Make it feel achievable and believable to you right now. Really Believe. That's the key.
2 - The universe will answer, just like the genie in the lamp "your wish is my command"
3 - Receive. Now you have to be ready to receive because you were focused on what you wanted. You may even have been looking out for it, but be ready to receive and it shall be yours.

This has to be the worlds simplest and most powerful, never failing 3 step program.

One example. Back when we were first getting involved in the law of attraction my wife , who, by her own admission can be sceptical wanted to put it to the test. She told me that night as we were going to bed
"I'm going to ask the universe for something simple", my response was
"OK, What?". She said
"Tomorrow at work, the universe will get someone to buy me a diet coke. It's never happened before, despite all the work I do for these people and the rewards they give me no-one has ever bought me a diet coke, so that's what I want."

Well, the very next day at work she called me all excited and told me that during a promotion/in-office competition she had won $15.....cash. It was handed to her there and then and she went and bought the diet coke.

Now she believes a whole lot more than she did. You can too. Just try it.

Get paid for doing what you love

Those of you who have seen The Secret will probably know the name Bob Doyle.

He's one of the panel of experts regularly appearing in the movie. It turns out that Bob is local to me here in Georgia AND is an old school friend of a very good friend of mine. In fact, the one we are working with on the Real Estate business.

I've already signed up for Bob's "Wealth Beyond Reason" program and am incredibly impressed with the breadth and depth of the content and knowledge contained within. What I'm also happy to have discovered is that he runs an affiliate program.

What that means in short, is that if you sign up to Bob's program as an affiliate, you can get paid for referring others to do the same. Brilliant!! Finally, the universe is providing a way for me to get paid doing what I love to do, which is learning new things and then sharing that knowledge.

Apparently, if you can get paid for doing what you love to do, you'll never work another day in your life. Now I cannot remember who originally said that but it's a perfectly fitting quote for here and one I plan on turning into a reality.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bob's program - it really does take the Law of Attraction and turn it into something you can use every day, for you own benefits and to benefit those around you.

My other big push came to me as I wrote yesterdays blog about the USA Today story. It turns out that T Harv Eker has an affiliate program too - called his ambassadors program. As a fan of his books and courses I thought you too might like to either read the books, or sign up as an ambassador.

1 Million Dollars

When my wifes breakfast turned up in the hospital this morning it came with a copy of USA today, which made me chuckle because this normally only happens in hotels, but then I realized we were paying for it anyway so.....

Amyway - In the business section, was this article about the "Magic Number" of the American Dream. $1 Million. Were you aware that the number of people with $1 million or more in net worth in the USA grew 7% to 2.7 million in 2005? By contrast, when Rockefeller and Carnegie walked there were only 4,000 millionaires.

Will you be one? There's a test you can take too: The Millionaire Test. You enter a number of variables and it tells you at what age to expect your first million.

Guess when I'm going to make mine? Well according to the paper "Based on your inputs it appears that you will not become a millionaire in your lifetime. " Oooops. But you don't have to believe it if it comes up that way for you.

That's because their test is all based on saving money. I'm about making money. That's why I was very impressed when I first read the "Secrets of the millionaire mind" by T. Harv Eker. It's actually one of the books that the USA Today examples in it's story.

The premise of "Secrets of the millionaire mind" is that each of us has a financial blue print, one that has been drawn and redrawn over the years. This blueprint is the basis of how we manage money and our finances. What our expectations about money are and how the thinking of the rich is so different from the thinking of the poor. How we make money, keep money, spend money, save money, invest money and so on.

It's a great read and I'm looking forward to attending the workshop in Atlanta in November. If you are interested he also has teleseminars and evening classes.

This book, is just another one of the reasons I believe so strongly in the law of attraction and that my wife and I will be wealthy. Very wealthy by the time I am 44. As a kid growing up in England I used to think about being a millionaire. That magic number. At the time it was my English Dream. Now that I know that $1 Million back in Rockefellers' day is the equivalent of $14 Million today I want more.

The law of attraction says I can have it even though the USA Today suggests I cannot. So I'll leave you for now as I go off to complete the crossword, wrap up my fish'n'chips and then ask the universe for my new magic number. :-)

Thanks to each and everyone who sent us notes, thoughts, prayers, emails, pigeons, lasagnes and vibrations for my wifes surgery.

The operation was a complete success. In fact, and without going into the details, better than a success. We got positive news we hadn't even considered. So I'm very happy and very, very grateful. Not just to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff but to friends, neighbors, family, the universe and well wishers. Thank you all.

Once she's all safely tucked up in bed at home I will continue with my regular posts.

Today is my wifes surgery. So I'm going to ask the universe to grant my wish.

Dear Universe,

You know my wife, she is a great person whom many love and admire, well, today she is having surgery. You've probably already heard the requests from friends and family for her speedy recovery but here's mine, in writing.

Please make it so that her surgery is short, painless and 100% successful - I know you can do it. Please then ensure that her recovery is immediate, her feelings of comfort enhanced and her return home to me swift. I have faith in you, the doctors, nurses and her.

Thank you for all you do for us. My gratitude for all you bring us in immense.

Real Estate, Foreclosures and Cash Flow

So, it's happened again! To be honest, every day that goes by I am less and less surprised when it does but it gives me a super high feeling each and every time.

Yesterday my wife and I saw a sign for a yard sale and always fancying ourselves as the perfect bargain shoppers we stopped by. Now the yard in question happens to be on the subdivision right next to ours and we walk our dogs past the house daily so it was great to be local. Within just 30 seconds we had spotted 4 beautiful side lamps and a water feature fountain. Now they're ours for just $20. And They look great in our house :-)

Well, we spoke with the owners briefly and they're a nice couple who've been down here in Georgia for several years but feel that now is the time to move back to Ohio, they even told us they were using the lamps just that morning, such was the speed with which they were packing up.

Given that news we decided to go back today (Sunday) to see if there was anything else we might snap up for a bargain. There was, but more importantly they asked us if we wanted to buy their house. This started a discussion about the state of the real estate market in the US in general, touched on the foreclosure stats in Georgia, the rental market nationwide and then branched off into how my wife and I had gotten into real estate investing.

Here's how, and I make no apology for the shameless plugs of the material. It has truly changed our lives and is the whole reason we ever came across the people and materials that turned us onto the law of attraction in the first place. So again, I owe a huge debt of thanks to the authors and friends.

So here goes:
I travel a lot for my day job, so I'm always looking for books to read on the flights. Never fiction, rather non-fiction, business or life education books.

I'm constantlty trying to be the best person I can be for me, my wife and our family and friends. So in January 2005 I found Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. That led me to purchase the No Money Down system by Carelton Sheets.

I was hooked but I couldn't convince my wife, especially as she was all tied up with our upcoming wedding that April. We moved from NJ to GA that July and started looking for a home. I'd convinced my wife that we should try out the Carleton Sheets approach and after some persuasion she watched some of the material and agreed.

I'll cut a long story short except to say that we could have bought our house with NO money down but chose not to. However we did get the right type of mortgage to support our cashflow objectives as suggested by Rich Dad, Poor Dad's Robert Kiyosaki. Check out the Cashflow Quadrant.

Success, Attitude, and the Law of Attraction

How many times have you asked a person in the morning, “How’s it going?” and the response is, “Oh, I can already tell it’s going to be a bad day.”

Really? Does this person have a crystal ball?

Does that reply make you regret you even asked the question? Our thoughts and words are like magnets. They send out a beacon looking for whatever matches their vibration. Is this psycho-babble? No. Your mind has the creative ability to attract situations, people, and opportunities that are in line with your thinking patterns.

That being said, if someone starts their day stating that he can tell it’s going to be bad, that person is already programming the channel that plays “bad things” according to his consciousness. He might encounter himself in situations that affirm his words: conflict with a co-worker, difficulty attracting new business, delays in closing business, argument with a relative, and the list goes on. This type of experience is also known as the self-fulfilling prophecy. If you expect the worst, then it doesn’t leave much mental room for attracting positive, high energy outcomes. That is how the law of attraction works.

On a brighter note, if you set the intention to live with energy and enthusiasm, then you will notice that your experiences will reflect that which your mind has created. The mind is a powerful tool. Knowing this information, you now bear the responsibility of putting action to your words and thought to your thinking. This accountability is not necessarily one that is popular. Why? It means that you now have to take extra time to consider the effects of your thoughts and words. Our thoughts, not simply our actions, create our reality. Our world is based on cause and effect.

How do you create the mental atmosphere for successful, uplifting thoughts?

Follow these 3 simple, proven steps:

1. Begin by setting an intention for attracting positive, high vibration situations and outcomes. You can start by affirming that today is a great day! If you own a business, you can say, “My business is successful and profitable. I am thankful for my prosperity and wealth of business connections.”

2. Support your thoughts by writing a journal…just be aware of the words you use. In this journal, it is recommended you write in the first-person, present tense and affirmative. For instance, you can say “I am open and receptive to the riches and abundance of life. My business is thriving!” Notice how this statement is written in first person, present tense. This statement uplifts you.

An example of a statement that does not lift your vibration level nor attract success into your life is: “I hope that I no longer have to struggle in my life.” What is the difference? Here, this statement talks about “hoping” (future tense, not present). Further, the words “no longer have to struggle” imply that you are struggling. Think for a moment. Is this something you really want to affirm for your life? Even though you may be going through challenges, your mind will not attract situations to lift you out of that struggle because it is focused on hearing the word “struggle”. Get the point?

3. Know that there may be subconscious negative beliefs that may sabotage your success. That’s okay, just deal with them. No one is saying that life is completely perfect at any given time. There may be mental programming you need to get rid of, such as a belief of unworthiness. Acknowledge these subconscious messages and state the following, “Any limiting beliefs or ideas which are subconscious or conscious are dissolved in this moment now.”

Believe in the power of your words. Remember, they are like magnets. Now that you have gained a greater awareness of your thoughts and their corresponding effects, you will make the connection between your thoughts, words and what you attract into your life.

Remember—think with a positive mental attitude! Transformation occurs when you align your consciousness with thoughts and words of success. Become a magnet for attracting high energy, happy thoughts and life situations. Enjoy your life!

Mother Theresa once said "I will NEVER attend an anti-war rally. The moment you have a peace rally call me"

That's because she understood the power of the law of attraction. The way it works is to manifest whatever you are thinking, so think war and you will get war, think terrorism and you'll get terrorism, think peace and guess what? You'll get peace. It's that simple and you cannot change it.

So it is with everything in the world today. We created it. And by the same token, we can uncreate it. Put a positive spin on everything. Say I will carry these eggs safely to the car and not I hope I don't drop these eggs. Remember the law of attraction manifests your thoughts. Negative words gets you results that are just that. Positive words equally, get you positive results.

If all you say all day is stop the war, stop innocents dying, stop our troops getting killed. Then sadly you are manifesting more war, more innocents dying and more troops getting killed.

If you wish to change anything in the world you don't like then put a positive spin on it.

Now I'm no pacifist, bleeding heart, left wing, liberal. In fact some would argue quite the opposite. But I am favor of being a good person, a great neighbor - a lover. :-)

So I ask you. All of you. Spread your message positively. Ask the universe for peace for all, ask for love for all, ask for understanding for all. Ask for a world we can live in together, in harmony with all.

The more of us that do this - positively - AND believe in it, the sooner it will be real. For all of us. Now be ready to receive it.

The Law of Attraction

Yesterday was a good day for me. In fact it was a great day. I didn't make millions of dollars or discover a way to prevent illness (although I believe that the law of attraction works for that too - just consider the placebo affect) I just witnessed at least 2 more examples of the law of attraction at work.

Firstly, last November, My wife and I moved into a newly built house backing onto a large wooded area. The problem was that one of the trees was positioned right up next to the deck, or maybe it was the deck that was built too close to the tree. But either way it started shedding it's leaves at the beginning of summer and we wanted that to stop. A lot. So we just kept saying what a nuisance that tree was, right there. Now it's been confirmed that it has died and the builder has arranged for a tree surgeon to come and remove it. I'm pleased because now our backyard will appear to be twice the size and I won't have to pick up leaves all year round.

Now, just in case you think we're evil for killing a tree, firstly we didn't know we were at the time and secondly as a mark of respect and out of thanks to the universe we will be planting two new trees, at the very rear of our yard, away from the house. You know, just to give a little back.

My second reason for feeling great: For those of you who have read my blog about my dream board you'll remember that I had the beautiful new Bentley on it. Well just yesterday I saw it - In my town, crossing the railroad tracks - It was just waiting for me. I phoned my wife all excited and we agreed. It's getting closer. You just don't see this big British car in these parts of the South. It's too rare.

But there it was - in my town and waiting for me. Well it had too - I had the right of way. :-) But here it comes. My Bentley has found me and now it knows roughly where I live. It will be back, that I know. And when it comes back it'll be mine. In fact I may even go and test drive one soon. Just so I can keep the picture and the feelings in my mind.

That's how this law works. I love it.

Did you know that you only have to double a dollar 20 times before it becomes $1M?

That's incredible. It seems so simple. Regular readers of my blog will know that one of my goals is to be wealthy. Well this guy seems to be on to something with his 2o steps program. I only found him because he left a comment on my Blog. Thanks Mike - you were my second. Ever.

His challenge looks like a great goal to have. I will send him some very positive thoughts as he continues.

Now, if it's that simple I just have to come up with my own method. What do you think would happen if I asked everyone who came to my blog to pay just $1?

The Winners

We won! Yep, last nights kick-about (pick up) soccer game was won by the team I played on. We play every Thursday and although I've only played in one previous match we have been bettered by the opposition each time. Well, not last night. We won. Most importantly we won by the two goals that I said we would.

After the game, in an English Pub in Georgia I started talking to my neighbors, J and his wife K about the Secret and realized just how "far out there" this thinking is by comparison to the accepted norms. I mean, these are smart people and well paid but even when I was talking about the basics of financial freedom, you know - the Rich Dad way, I could sense their unease.

It was a reminder to me of just how far I have come on my journey to financial freedom. In fact this journey is not just mine. My wife and I share it, every step of the way but that wasn't the easiest agreement to reach I can assure you. Now we agree, we drive each other on and that has made our lives so much easier. Being out of alignment with a partner or loved one is tough, on both of you. Some of you already know this and some of you have already found ways to work together. I'd love to hear from both types of you out there.

Maybe the comments section here could prove to be a little self help column for those people?

Now, whatever comes our way we believe that "Together, We Win." Maybe by just 2 goals but maybe by any measure of our $10M in assets inside 7 years or any of our health or happiness goals.

When we first started dating, my now wife told me that she had one simple rule for me to follow. (now, since we've been married I have noticed that there are a whole lot more rules to follow - say nice things, don't do that, shoes live upstairs, they're your dogs too, one drink is enough - that kind of thing :-) But I digress. The one rule she had was:

If she is happy then I am happy.

So, I do what I can to follow that rule, wherever I can. It's not as easy as it sounds because I don't always say nice things, I do do that, shoes stay where I take them off, my dogs love to sleep while hers (they are the same 2 dogs) need walking....a lot and I do like to drink (one has never been enough.) But!! When I remember her rule, and make her happy, she does in fact make me very, very, very happy.

I suppose with that said. I win all ways round.

Give Thanks

So today my day job means that I have to go and present an idea to a customer. I'm excited as I have been working on the document and presentation for weeks and today marks the end of that piece of work, at least for a while.

It gave me time to clear some email and look around at other blogs. There's so much out there that's smart, funny, educating and well written. The world really is filled with some gifted people.

Sticking with the theme of my blog I thought today would be an appropriate day to give back, to say thanks. You see, the secret and the law of attraction work when you give thanks for what you have and are grateful for.

So I'm going to start and in case you think I'm ungrateful for missing anything this, in no way is going to be, a comprehensive list.

Today I am grateful for:

My Health. I must focus hard and give up smoking soon. In fact if I think about it I should really say that I should be an ex-smoker soon. I have to remember to put a positive spin on everything.
My Wife - A really fantastic spirit who really is my inspiration for so many things.
Funny things - or anything that makes you laugh. Like this blog. It's amazing how good you feel when you're smiling and laughing.
My Friends - A mixed bunch of all sorts. A real cross section. For being good to me, allowing me to be good to them and for believing in me (even though they now think I've vibrated myself half way to the nut house)
The internet - for allowing me to get this story and message out there. All this writing is incredibly cathartic don't you know.
The universe - for answering and delivering when I ask for something. Did you know that in the last week, everytime we have looked for a parking space the one directly in front of the store is being vacated as we get there? Just for us. It's true.
Gravity'>Gravity - for keeping me grounded. I don't know how you work but I'm glad you do.
The law of attraction - for working in the same way as gravity. I don't know how you do what you do but please keep on doing it.

That's it for today except to say that I thank my parents daily for the grounding they gave me, the love, the support, the freedom and the rules. They have helped immensely in becoming who I am today. Thanks Mum and Dad.

My Dream

My dream is to be wealthy, healthy and happy.

No different from all the dreams out there I hear you say and it probably isn't. It would be fantastic if we could all have wealth, good health and could live happily doing whatever it is that makes us most happy. So why is mine different? Because it is mine. Yours is different for the very same reason. It is yours.

I think for our dreams to become reality we have to really own them. Create them, make them ours individually, feel them, imagine them, smell them, live them. In our minds.

I think our dreams have to be tangible. We have to be able to see them, touch them, hear them, smell them, taste them. To make my dream a reality I intend to live like I've already achieved it. Now I'm not telling you that I am going to go and buy all the things I desire and rack up debt to achieve that and I certainly don't advocate that you do it either but I do believe that I should test drive that car, walk through that house, take a trip on that boat and really capture my feelings at that time. Then close my eyes and ask the universe to deliver those feelings to me through ownership of those very same things.

My dream is incredible. Not because no one has ever achieved it before. In fact, there are thousands of people out there who are already doing, having and living the life I picture, but incredible because I now believe it to be real and achievable.

Now I know I'm going to have to quantify my dream, to be really specific about it and I intend to do that, but this is my beginning. It feels real, it feels achievable and it feels mine......Already.
So what is my dream beyond the health, wealth and happiness?

(I paused for a moment as I wrote this, glanced up at my dream board, took a deep breath, and paused again.)

Now I'm not so sure, at least about the details. Every day I believe that I am becoming closer to my understanding of the universe and it's enormous power and with that understanding I believe that more and more is possible. So where do I stop? How specific should I be? By when?

Months ago I set out to achieve $10,000,000 in assets inside 7 years and have a passive income of $100,000 per month. Back then that was incredible, enormous, laughable even. Now it seems small by comparison to what I can achieve, based on what I know about how the law of attraction works.

Even just two nights ago, after watching The Secret, I went to bed, my head spinning with endless possibilities, endless opportunities and the belief that I could have anything I desired, equally importantly, so could anyone else. Absolutely anyone. As I drifted off to sleep my mind started writing my epitaph. Gloomy huh? Not really. What I ended up with gave me a rush of energy through my body and I had the best nights sleep I've had in months.

It started: Richard Stocks died yesterday The 112 year old, billionaire founder of the New Way Schools that provide a fundamentally different kind of education on life skills that are truly relevant and universally important; financially free thinking, Literacy, Math, Quantum Physics and the Law of attraction among others, across the globe. Survived by his wife, their 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren his legacy will last forever. Business partners and friends Robert and Kim Kiyosaki, Bill and Melinda Gates and Jack Canfield will attend the funeral.....

And then I was asleep.

Now what am I supposed to make of that? Does my goal now become a Billion or more dollars and that school? Which by the way I seriously believe is needed and I do believe it is possible, so should I set that out there? Or, should I start with my smaller $10M dream first?
As you can see, my journey is really just beginning and I don't have all the answers. Not even close.

I couldn't wait until tomorrow to write again. I have a feeling running through my body like I have been supercharged with electricity. This could be the vibrations they talk of.

Now unless you already know and belive in the secret what I am going to list is going to sound ridiculous and outlandish. The following list is just a small part of my bigger wish list.

1 - A promotion and a 30% + pay rise.
2 - $36,000 from a foreclosures assistance service I'm working on with some friends
3 - My wife, who is going into surgery next week to have a successful operation and a painless recovery.

I was taught that the universe is like a giant catalogue where you can place an order for anything. If you are spiritual then it is simply a request. If you are religious then that request is just a prayer. Either way, ask and you will receive.

The above list represents my order for the next 30 days. I have ASKED, the rules state that the universe will ANSWER, now all I have do to is be open to receiving.

I am. I hope you are too.

The Secret is Out

....or at least it should be. That's part of my reason for starting this blog. Everyone should know the secret and everyone should use the secret. In my mind it would help to bring peace and harmony, health and happiness to the world. I'm going to tell everyone I can about it.

Spread the word. Think something good and let it happen - That's the secret. The message is that if you first ASK for something the universe will ANSWER with an unquestioning "your wish is my command" and then all you have to do is RECEIVE what you asked for. It's that easy.

Last night I started on my Dream Board. I was looking through magazines for pictures of expensive and luxurious houses, cars, boats, planes, watches and so on, when it happened again.

I had already cut out a picture of the wonderfully stylish Bentley Continental Flying Spur and had cut out one of the many Jet aircraft part ownership programs when I noticed that in the background to that plane picture was exactly the car I had just decided upon.

When this magic happens it happens constantly. Let it happen to you. Just ask, let the universe answer and then be prepared to receive what you asked for.

WOW!! I have just watched the new movie The Secret and it is fantastic. I've been working on the leap of faith. But rest assured it is working never the less.

Just in this last week I have had momentary thoughts about friends and colleagues I've not spoken to for a while and out of the blue I get three emails, one from each and each one just hours after the thought entered my head. This is powerful stuff.

Whether you believe it or not it is working and you can change your life, your love and your luck just by using it.
